Easter Cards

I wanted to use a lot of my cute stamps that I haven’t used yet. Especially the Lunar Animals by Mama Elephant.

This is a Paper Smooches stamp called Chubby Chums. They are just made to be stacked.

Mia loved the gumball machine card I made for Robert’s birthday so I put bunny ears on the gnome and made an Easter card for her.

The background on this was a watercolor technique I tried after watching a tutorial.

He Is Risen

Have been making mostly cute Easter Cards so wanted a couple of religious ones for some special people.
I die cut “Crosses 3” from Spellbinder Die. I found that by attaching the thin patterned paper to Fun Foam with “Stick It”, I did not have to run it back through the Big Shot to emboss it. It also cut better. I like the paper I used for the second cross. I don’t know the brand as it is something I have had for some time. I cut the “Happy” die the same as the cross with it adhered to Fun Foam. Used Darlene’s idea with DC thread for the embellishment under the “Happy” It was pretty plain without it.
The first card was pretty much the same except for the shaker and I used a My Favorite Things Die-Namics die for the flowers and used Susan’s Garden by Sizzix method and tools to make the flowers look more realistic. Very simple but very effective.Cut a circle for the base of the flowers and then used some foliage dies to make the wreath.

Faux Embossing Thank You

Inspired by Julie Ebersole’s video “Hello Monday 03.07.2016”
I love how easy this is to do. Starting by stamping Hero Arts Butterflies from their Stamp and Die Cut Set (C111) on Bristol. Embossed with Gold embossing powder. Colored with Zig Clean Color Brushes. Die cut the butterflies. Die cut several Thank Yous from First Edition Traditional Dies from Neenah cardstock. (Used Julia’s tip for die cutting using four thicknesses of a dryer sheet. Great way to keep from having to dig everything out of the die. It cut better also) Sprayed glue on the words and mounted on Neenah cardstock. Has the look of being embossed without an embossing folder. Cut 2 Thank Yous out of black cardstock and 1 out of Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock by Crafter’s Companion. Used the black pearl for the side panal also. Very happy with the way it turned out.

Faux Embossing Thank You

Spring Flowers/Thank You

Emboss Resist Ink Blending. Used Distress Ink colors: Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, Seedless Preserves, Mowed Lawn and Crushed Olive. After stamping selected stamps from: Ellen Hudson’s Bohemian Garden, Simon Says Stamps Favorite Flowers, and Hero Arts Blossom Art I embossed with clear embossing powder. Blended distress inks over each and cut each one out. The Thank You sentiment is a die from First Edition Traditional Dies. Diecut from black cardstock and embossed with clear emboss.

Thank You
