Happy Pandas

These are all from the My Favorite Things Happy Panda stamp set.  I love it.  I made these cards for an organization that puts on Birthday Parties for Homeless children and also another organization that makes up little kits with a encouraging card for Foster children who are waiting to be placed.  Im going to make a lot more of these because they are fast and don’t require a lot of coloring and they turn out adorable.

More Christmas Cards

Two more Christmas Cards today.  Trying to get enough so I can donate some to the Meals on Wheels organization.  The first one I stamped the sentiment and embossed in white.  Then I stamped foliage from Catherine Pooler Designs Merry and Bright Boughs stamp set and Hip Holidays and Candy Cane Lane.  I watercolored with some inexpensive metallic watercolors.  I wanted a little more gold so the second I embossed the foliage in gold as well as the sentiment.  I painted the leaves and berries.  On this one, I messed up.  Flecks of gold emboss in the wrong place and white ink where it shouldn’t be.  So I decided to flick some of the gold water color with a brush,  That wasn’t enough so I sprayed with Hero Arts gold shimmer spray.  I actually liked it in the end.  Again without over thinking, I just did whatever and it is amazing what you end up with.

This was the messed up one.  The picture doesn’t do it justice.

15 min Cards

Catherine Pooler of Stamp Nation had a video where she and another person did a card in 15 minutes from start to finish.  Since it takes me quite a few hours to complete a card I decided to try and do it by using simple techniques.  Here are two I did and actually they only took 10 minutes.  Mostly because I wasn’t worrying about making them for anyone special.  It was amazing.  I obviously stress out too much normally which just takes more time.

Both cards I stenciled a partial background, stamped a large sentiment and added stamped and die cut embellishments.  On the third card I just sponged distress ink on the leaves and pumpkins and it was a lot faster than stamping and cutting.

Pain In The Neck

Took me all day but I loved creating this card for a friend who had neck surgery. Used computer for front sentiment and inside sentiment and birds I altered from Simon Says Stamp’s Stacking Animals Set. The Giraffe is from that set also.   Watercolored the giraffe with Zig Clear Color Brush Pens.  Used my pattern paper from Premium Stacks Safari Chic Stack.
