Using Alcohol Inks/Ocean Background

I used Yupo paper and Alcohol Inks in various blues and greens and I created the ocean like background.  You get different effects each time.  So I start with the background and then decide what to do with it.  This card was my first attempt.  I was inspired by a blog post by Jessica Frost-Ballas called Making Waves with Jessica Frost-Ballas.

I used alcohol markers for the mermaid, fish and shell.  I used Distress Inks for the sea grass.  The stamps are from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero – May 2017.  I used Nuvo drops for the pearl.

I used a new method that I learned from a video “Video Monday With Nina Marie/Shaker Cards 3 ways.  Using two panels of acetate instead of just one which makes it easier to line up without the shaker material falling out.  I like this method.  I will be posting another card using this method in the future.

On this card, because of the size of the sequins and the objects on the background, I should have used two layers of foam tape between the two layers of acetate so the sequins would move more freely.
