Coloring Page

I took an online Whimsical Sketching Class today with Sandy Allnock. It was great. She is a great teacher. Lesson 1 (there are more) was sketching whimsical flowers and creating a coloring book page. Here was my result. I can’t believe I sketched this freehand with a pencil and a sharpie (and an eraser) and lots of help and tips from Sandy. The only thing I used the pencil for was to draw a lot of circles of different sizes, which I erased later. I love the results. I am looking forward to the next classes.

Welcome to my blog. I started my blog so that I could share all of the things that I am passionate about not only in the creative world but in all areas of my life. I retired over 10 years ago from the field of education. I was a Resource Specialist in a Teacher's Resource Library. My job allowed me to do the things I love every day. I love creating things with many different media. Papercrafting is my favorite. I helped teachers create bulletin boards and instructional materials for their classrooms. Now that I am retired I spend a lot of time creating cards and I love all of the different techniques and media available. I also am very active in wildlife conservation and spend many hours volunteering with the Wildlife Conservation Network.
