Just Hangin’ To Wish You…..

Loved how Therese Calvird of Lostinpaper made a cute sentiment shaker in the video tutorial “Fetti Friend Sentiment Shaker” for Reverse Confetti.  Unfortunately I didn’t have very many appropriate dies with matching stamps.  The perfect one for this technique is the “Love” sentiment in my previous post.  So I tried using the negative part of the die cut and using the cutout part instead of stamping.  This is difficult as it is harder to match up but it worked and maybe with a little more practice it would be easier.  I tried it with individual letter die cuts and failed.  Too hard to line up.  I like how this card turned out.  It has a simple clean look but it was not simple to do.  Practice makes perfect.

Products used:  Mama Elephant Page Huggers stamp set, My Favorite Things Party Balloons die, Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday die, Barn Door, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks, various beads and sequins.  Sentiment was done on the computer (no stamp)

Welcome to my blog. I started my blog so that I could share all of the things that I am passionate about not only in the creative world but in all areas of my life. I retired over 10 years ago from the field of education. I was a Resource Specialist in a Teacher's Resource Library. My job allowed me to do the things I love every day. I love creating things with many different media. Papercrafting is my favorite. I helped teachers create bulletin boards and instructional materials for their classrooms. Now that I am retired I spend a lot of time creating cards and I love all of the different techniques and media available. I also am very active in wildlife conservation and spend many hours volunteering with the Wildlife Conservation Network.
