For the Live Love Cards Vellum challenge I stamped a piece of Vellum with a Tiny Star background in Versamark ink. Embossed with WOW Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Glitter. I then used Distress Inks Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire. I added a lot of water to the ink and smooched the vellum in it. I let it dry and flattened it out. When the vellum dried it warped and looked like a cloudy starry sky. So I watercolored a fairy stamped picture on watercolor paper and cut it out. I cut a frame and sponged the same distress colors on the frame and the card backing. I liked the effect of the starry sky on the warped vellum. Wish I could figure out how to photograph and capture the details but I guess if you double click on the picture it is larger and more detailed. I am getting the hang of this blog stuff slowly.
Welcome to my blog. I started my blog so that I could share all of the things that I am passionate about not only in the creative world but in all areas of my life. I retired over 10 years ago from the field of education. I was a Resource Specialist in a Teacher's Resource Library. My job allowed me to do the things I love every day. I love creating things with many different media. Papercrafting is my favorite. I helped teachers create bulletin boards and instructional materials for their classrooms. Now that I am retired I spend a lot of time creating cards and I love all of the different techniques and media available. I also am very active in wildlife conservation and spend many hours volunteering with the Wildlife Conservation Network. View all posts by Patty
