I did a lot of colored pencil coloring on my train trip in September. It is very relaxing and I need the practice. I love this Gorjuss stamp. All of there stamps are adorable. I wanted to make a card around the stamp. It sure does take a long time when you don’t start with any ideas. I think I spent most of the day but I am very happy with the finished product. I used an embossing folder for the tree in the background. Colored the tree by sponging on distress inks. Die cut the hearts after sponging Barn Door distress ink on brown paper. Love the colors. I didn’t want it to necessarily look like a valentine so the distressed colors worked beautifully.
Welcome to my blog. I started my blog so that I could share all of the things that I am passionate about not only in the creative world but in all areas of my life. I retired over 10 years ago from the field of education. I was a Resource Specialist in a Teacher's Resource Library. My job allowed me to do the things I love every day. I love creating things with many different media. Papercrafting is my favorite. I helped teachers create bulletin boards and instructional materials for their classrooms. Now that I am retired I spend a lot of time creating cards and I love all of the different techniques and media available. I also am very active in wildlife conservation and spend many hours volunteering with the Wildlife Conservation Network. View all posts by Patty
