Love On Your Birthday

My second share on Stamp Nation’s Birthday Stash – Done.  This tutorial, Cards for BFFs with Winnie & Walter by Crystal Thompson, involved several techniques that I love doing.  The first is ink smooshing.  I did the smooshing with Catherine Pooler’s Flirty Fuschia and Be Mine Inks.  Second I used Catherine Pooler’s Lattice Frame Die and placed it on the smooshed background which I cut from Catherine Pooler’s Postage Stamp Die.  I used the sponging technique with the same inks and die cut with Simon Says Stamp’s Sketched Hearts die and Love die.  I added a sentiment under the Love Die Cut from Simon Says Stamp All My Love stamp set.  Sprinkled a few sequins on.

Welcome to my blog. I started my blog so that I could share all of the things that I am passionate about not only in the creative world but in all areas of my life. I retired over 10 years ago from the field of education. I was a Resource Specialist in a Teacher's Resource Library. My job allowed me to do the things I love every day. I love creating things with many different media. Papercrafting is my favorite. I helped teachers create bulletin boards and instructional materials for their classrooms. Now that I am retired I spend a lot of time creating cards and I love all of the different techniques and media available. I also am very active in wildlife conservation and spend many hours volunteering with the Wildlife Conservation Network.
