Share Handmade Kindness

I love making cards and sending them to my friends. I love it when my friends are so happy to get the cards. I can’t express how much I enjoy making them. I love learning new techniques and learning how to use all kinds of mediums. I watch a lot of tutorials and there are a lot of great teachers out there. I have no desire to sell cards. I just think it takes the joy of making them away. Some people wonder why I spend so much time on it. Again, I love it but I think one of my favorite teachers in the art of card making, Jennifer McGuire, says it all in this video.

There are so many ways you can share handmade kindness. I have joined a lot of groups that contribute handmade cards for different reasons and nothing makes me happier.

When I finally get better at this blog thing, I am going to start a page just listing links to places where you can make these contributions.

Welcome to my blog. I started my blog so that I could share all of the things that I am passionate about not only in the creative world but in all areas of my life. I retired over 10 years ago from the field of education. I was a Resource Specialist in a Teacher's Resource Library. My job allowed me to do the things I love every day. I love creating things with many different media. Papercrafting is my favorite. I helped teachers create bulletin boards and instructional materials for their classrooms. Now that I am retired I spend a lot of time creating cards and I love all of the different techniques and media available. I also am very active in wildlife conservation and spend many hours volunteering with the Wildlife Conservation Network.

  1. I totally agree with you. I love creating cards too! I give them to friends and family, and now I donate to charities. I am a follower of Jennifer and Darlene, as you are. It is great to meet someone who feels as I do. Keep up the great cards!

    1. Thank you Cindy, sorry I didn’t respond sooner but I’ve been on vacation with very little Wifi. I am so new at blogs and have so much to learn. I try to learn a little at a time but I find that I get really behind. I am going to check out your blog. It seems like everyone has theirs so organized. I keep on plugging though.
