Thanks A Super Lot

Had a lot of fun yesterday watching other great cardmakers’ and artists’ videos.  I learn so much from them but need to practice a lot.  This one was one that I watched on a video from Sandy Allnock.  Crazy Birds (Tim Holtz)- Copics learning from Ranger (on You Tube.)  Since I don’t own Copics I did her version of Distress Ink.  I like the Tim Holtz Watercolor paper but I think Strathmore Watercolor paper works better if you have to do a lot to get the color you want.  The Tim Holtz paper starts pilling (is that the word?) a lot.  I love how relaxing it is to use this method.

Thanks a Super Lot

This fits right in with the Simon Says Monday Challenge  The technique just requires that you put a lot of water on the paper and then add color to get the funky watercolor look.

Simon Says Monday Challenge: Stamp + Mist

Welcome to my blog. I started my blog so that I could share all of the things that I am passionate about not only in the creative world but in all areas of my life. I retired over 10 years ago from the field of education. I was a Resource Specialist in a Teacher's Resource Library. My job allowed me to do the things I love every day. I love creating things with many different media. Papercrafting is my favorite. I helped teachers create bulletin boards and instructional materials for their classrooms. Now that I am retired I spend a lot of time creating cards and I love all of the different techniques and media available. I also am very active in wildlife conservation and spend many hours volunteering with the Wildlife Conservation Network.
